RETURNING TO THE HEART OF GOD
Biblical Reflection:
Lent is an invitation to pause and examine our hearts before God. In Joel 2:12, the Lord calls us to return to Him with all our hearts—not through outward appearances, but through sincere surrender. This season reminds us that God is not looking for perfection, but for a heart willing to repent and be transformed.
Returning to the heart of God means acknowledging our weaknesses and misplaced dependencies. As we step away from the noise and fast pace of life, we learn once again to listen to His voice. Lent prepares us for Easter by reminding us that restoration always begins with humility.
Reflection Questions:
- Which areas of my life need to return to God with sincerity?
- What things is God calling me to step away from during this season?
- How can I cultivate a heart that is more sensitive to His voice?
